12 week question?

I had my dating scan at 7 weeks.  I’m scheduled for my 12 week appointment tomorrow but I’m not sure if they are doing another ultrasound or not.  Do they always do an ultrasound at 12 weeks?

Depends, 2 ultrasounds is pretty typical, but some doctors will do more. I've had 3 total this pregnancy (sort of lol) 1. Dating/anatomy (i was further along than we thought) 2. I went to the ER for preterm contractions and they wanted to check his movements and make sure he looked okay 3. Was just a quick handheld ultrasound thing that my doctor was excited to learn since they are new to their office. Lol

I had my dating scan and didn’t have another one until my anatomy scan at 20 weeks. It was so hard not seeing my little one for that long, but so worth it! 💗 I’m in California by the way.

Depends what country you're in. In the UK we have a 12 week dating scan (11-14 weeks really) and a 20 week anomaly scan (18-22 weeks), but different countries do different things.
