Not eating before glucose test?

Question

I haven’t eaten since last night. My test isn’t until 4PM today. I cannot eat anything as I’m still suffering from “morning” sickness. Cannot down anything. Is it okay to take the glucose test on a completely empty stomach?

I did and I almost fainted it hit me hard, I do t think it will mess up your result as I haven’t heard back from mine and no news is good news. I would try to get some crackers and water down 2 hours before

I was told that for the 1hr test you’re supposed to eat as you normally do (I had a full breakfast, as much water as I’d drink typically, etc and passed).  Fasting etc comes into play if you fail the 1hr and need to have the 3hr rest.

My obgyn said I could eat what ever I want for that test. For the three hours one is the one that you are supposed to be fasting

I would eat a little something bc the sugary drink might make you more sick. You have to drink it quick too and once you drink it than u have to fast for an hour.

I did mine on a empty stomach. I didn't eat at all, I was suppose to fast anyways but I don't eat in mornings. Since you still have morning sickness you may not feel very good not eating at all all day and then downing pure sugar syrup.

Mine told me I could eat before mine just wouldn’t eat like a cookie or a lot of sugar beforehand. I go in next week. Plan on just eating healthy per usual and walking on lunch then going in for the appointment.
