He might like me?

So I know this might seem like an obvious answer once I ask this from my opinion but I just wanna see in from another's perspective just in case I'm mistaken or misunderstood.I've been friends with a guy at my school for a while now, maybe ever since I started this year of school and we've been pretty close but then we started playing online on Xbox, and texting and mostly in texting that's when I started questioning if he likes me or is flirting with me (the screenshots below) that's not it when it comes to that.Usually when we say goodnight or whenever were texting he always says ciao Bella which means hello or bye beautiful in Italian though I confrontented him about it (though not telling him to stop) he said he was sorry, though he keeps doing it

and that's why I came on here and so we went to the movies together today and it was awesome, we laughed and everything and I met his mom and we just had a good time though we hugged a first time and his arm was around me but once I sat up and he pulled it away from my back, I don't know if he was uncomfortable or so because the second time we hugged, he kept me his arms around me and we cuddled for a bit while my head was on his chest and we talked and laughed but it was never considered a date, so I don't understand.I wasmt uncomfortable and as a matter of fact I liked it and my mind was like drifting and Sometimes its obvious towards me that he might like me but I don't understand. May I ask after reading these things to not see him as a douchebag or in any way.
