We just got aircon put in and my partner said ‘I think we need to make a deal that we only turn it on when it’s really needed, not every day!’

I said ‘I agree. I think you’ll use it more than I will anyway.’

He said ‘Yeah, well I do pay the bills so I can use it whenever.’

I said ‘Are you serious?’

He said ‘What? I do pay the bills?’

I said ‘Yeah, and I buy the groceries. If that’s how you feel I would rather pay the bills.’

He said ‘No. It’s okay. Use the aircon whenever you want.’

I’m 30 weeks pregnant and we are getting married next month. We are currently going through one of the hottest summers we’ve had here in Australia and conditions are awful, hence all of the bushfires. For him to say that makes me really wonder if he genuinely loves me. I know he says some stupid and thoughtless things sometimes with zero intention of hurting me, and he is always so apologetic. And I know I’m extra sensitive at the moment but it still makes me doubt his feelings for me. 😢😔
