I have the infant car seat carrier for convenience. You’ll need the convertible car seat either way.

Both if at all possible. I used infant bucket as newborn and convertible after holding up the head. It's difficult to get baby in and out of the seat plus carry your stuff etc especially  when they can't support their heads, and makes being in the stroller easier vs they can't hold their head up in an upright stroller
