Unreasonable fears?
Anyone dealing with their toddler being unreasonably afraid of random things? Olive has really bizarre fears and she gets intensely upset when she sees/does certain things.
For example she used to love the swings at the park and now she flips her shit if we try to put her in one (like screaming and straightens her whole body out). I know that not all toddlers like the swings but this is exorcist type reaction 😂 so obviously we avoid them. Yet she likes the slide..
Another example is certain toys (the soft silicone type plastic ones at the store) or those walking duck things that you push with the handle, she freaked out when we picked it up and try to show her it and subsequently was afraid to even be in the same toy isle.
I'm trying to convince myself this is normal but it scares me a little just because her reactions are SO intense. Otherwise she is doing great development wise. Anyone have anything similar to make me feel better? Lol
