so me and my husband have been having problems for the past 3 years and i finally left home he’s been cheating on me for a while now..and i left home i still text with him and have seen him maybe twice in the last 3 weeks we text frequently but tbh it’s mostly a lot of smack talking back and forth..but there’s this guy my bestfriends brother in law who’s been messaging me for the last couple days on snapchat..long story short he wants to see me and get to know me..am i cheating?? i haven’t seen him but i have been messaging back and forth..advice thoughts what do you guys think? thank you.

It’s not cheating your husband has been living his life you need to do the same thing. Do whatever makes u happy and comfortable.

I would say that it’s totally fine to keep things at a friendly level right now. Set good strong boundaries that will keep something from happening, like hanging out in his or your apartment should be a Nono right now. 
But once your divorce is finalized you’re free to do as you please! This will save you from a lot of heartache, and it will prevent your husband from being able to tell people you cheated on him.

You need to establish what’s going on between you and your husband before you make any moves with someone else. It does not matter if he has cheated or not, that is irrelevant. If you want to be with someone else or explore elsewhere you need to say so. Just going and cheating behind his back is messy.

If you want to see him, start breaking things off with your husband. If you want to stay with your husband or aren’t ready to let go, make sure the guy is aware of the situation.
