Is something wrong with me?

So I recently just started dating this guys and at one point we started making out. Once it got really heated he wanted to have sex and I was so down for it. As a little FYI I am a virgin, I know people do say it hurts at first but for some reason I can’t. We’ve tried several times but it hurts like a bitch. I have a pretty high pain tolerance so it felt weird that I couldn’t fit it in all the way. I feel so bad because every time we’re about to, I have to stop because it genuinely hurts. I don’t know if I’m just being a baby but it doesn’t feel right to me. I don’t know what to do. Should I see someone about this or...? I don’t now, please if you have advice I’d love to hear it.
