Middle names

My fiance and I can't agree. He is british, so he does not have a middle name. And he wants that tradition to continue. But I really want our babies to have middle names. Of course I'm over emotional cause I'm almost 8 weeks pregnant. But I feel really upset that he doesn't want a middle name. At least for our first born. He doesn't seem to want to change his mind , either. Thoughts or ideas for a compromise?
