Baby led weaning is skipping pureed food altogether. Starting at 6 months, babies can eat pretty much anything. If you can mush it between two fingers, babies can chew it, even without teeth (steamed veggies, pasta, other soft food). If you're interested in doing baby led weaning, definitely do a lot of research about it, and the difference between gagging vs choking, and how to prepare/cut foods properly so babies can pick it up still and bite it.
