Need some help for my 1 year old's eczema on his scalp!

My 1 year old son has eczema on his scalp. He has an appointment with a specialist but that's 3 weeks away. I've tried so many things.
Baby oil 
Cradle cap brush
I buzzed his head to help it breath
Tea tree oil in the bath water
Aveeno baby eczema soap / cream - made it worse. 
Please let me know what you did. He's scratching and leaving cuts even tho I trim his nails. Poor little dude needs relief.
