Midwives brew without castor oil?

Would it even do anything? I don't want to take castor oil but I've heard midwives brew works. Do the other ingredients do anything without it or is it a waste of time

The other ingredients can still irritate your uterus and cause contractions IF you are ready. You can add some cayenne pepper to it too - a bit of extra spice as an irritant.
I swapped the apricot and almond for non-alcoholic amaretto syrup. The chemistry is actually the same. Didn’t do anything though, but then I don’t think I’m near ready yet.

I did it twice with prune juice in place of the castor oil and NOTHING. I did a labor shake with castor oil and I'm convinced it's what put me into labor.

The Castrol oil causes cramping that starts your uterus to contract. Without it, your just drinking one odd smoothie 😂

The Castrol oil is what actually starts the labor. Everything else in it is there to count act the oil and what it does and takes away. So no, without the oil it does nothing. Although I took it and didn't go into labor. Im due for induction Saturday. Although it has worked for a lot of people, and my mother and grandmother both took Castrol oil to induce labor... I was just one of the unlucky ones it didnt work for.🤦‍♀️😂

I think the castor oil is the main ingredient, so it probably wont be effective unless you add it. Im planning on taking Midwives Brew in a week from now when im 38 weeks, I heard it works to induce labour within 24 hours 90% of the time, so good luck!!
