My son is 1week old and I don’t know how many times can you bath a newborn baby..

You shouldn't give them a bath until the cord has fallen off and if a boy and circumcised is healed. I washed folds with a wash cloth and light soap then rinsed with a wet wash cloth but never put him in a tub until everything was healed.

We did every 3 days or so because doctor said it’s not needed more often. Babies skin can get too dry. I did wash his butt, hands and feet daily.

We gave our son a sponge bath every other day until his cord fell off and his circumcision healed, then I gave him a bath in the sink every day. His skin was fine because I used oil in the bath water and a very mild soap for his hair.

We bathe every other day since day 2, no restrictions due to cord in the country where i live. The butt needs to be washed more often, the poop can irritate the skin.
