How do I know?

My baby is 3weeks old , and I started giving her 3/12 oz I started noticing when she's done shell stay wide awake and I'm not sure to feed her again or if it'll be over feeding? When do I start giving my baby more milk , I feed her every 3 hrs sometimes I'll go the 2hrs if she's awake still , ftm and I don't want feel like I'll over feed her bc in her 2week check up she did gain weight and doc said only 3 oz , but she seems to be hungry after a feeding still and she's only on my milk

You will know when you baby is full when she pushes the bottle away. If she’s not crying after you pull the bottle out then she’s likely full. Sometimes we put the empty bottle back into the baby’s mouth to see if he’ll suck. My baby will shut his mouth and won’t let the nipple go back into his mouth if he’s done.

Look for signs that shes still hungry - rooting, playing with her tongue, trying to stick her hands in her mouth, etc. Most babies will refuse if they are no longer hungry. You cannot overfeed a baby. Its always better to offer more than not enough. So maybe add an extra ounce into the bottle next time. If she will take it, thats great. The more milk, the more gain 😊
