Birth Control newbie

Hey.. I’m a newbie at birth control and still trying to understand it. Does anyone use Marvelon 28?

I just got a 3 month prescription from my doctor... He told me to take it one everyday until the first pack finishes then wait until I get my cycle, then I can start a new pack on the 1st day of my cycle.. does that sound about right?

I was reading the paper that comes along with the medicine and the paper says to wait until I start my period and that’s when I start my bc.

Would it be ok if I started my bc right away(tomorrow) even if I’m not on my period.
