Anyone called a suicide hotline before?

Not in a good way and really want to ring but I’m too scared 
Anyone got any good or bad experiences ringing?

Yes and they saved my life. I suffer from depression/anxiety and ptsd and was at the end of my coping skills.
I usually don’t talk about this bcz a. I’m still embarrassed and b. It brings me pain but if it’ll save you from going down this dark lonely road I’ll will shout it loud and clear:
I felt like the only way out of the pain was to die. 
I had everything set up and I was going back and forth between doing it and not doing it. 
I was feeling an extreme amount of anxiety about dying alone but I knew I couldn’t call anyone that knew me. So I called the hotline and I wasn’t expecting much but to hear a script and I got much more out of it. 
I didn’t feel so alone. That person helped me to work through how I was feeling and got me the resources I needed to get some help. 
You aren’t alone and your life is worth living.

No but my cousin used to volunteer at a crisis hotline. Everyone there was well trained and knew how to talk to people who are in bad situations. They won’t give you specific advice on how to handle problems in your personal life but they will listen, support you, and try to help however they can. Please call.

I think a lot of people think that if you call you'll be reported or sent to a psych ward or something, so if that's a fear, don't let that stop you. 
They are there to listen and hear you, and to help! You can remain completely anonymous. They're there to help.
