Anyone else not have anyone to watch their oldest while giving birth?

My husband and I are pretty much all alone. My mom passed away when I was pregnant with my daughter, my Dad moved away 17 years ago after my parents divorced, my husbands father is an autistic alcoholic and his mom isn’t around much and we don’t really trust her. I have an Aunt and a cousin but they’re busy and have jobs.. I’m not sure what to do..
We honestly don’t have any friends, we’ve lost touch and many have moved out of state
Has anyone tried Care.com? I only have a few months left of my pregnancy so if we’re going to go that route I rather start interviewing people now to get my 3 year old comfortable with them and to know I can trust them.. 
Our lack of support is seriously so upsetting and overwhelming to me. Just to know I’m completely alone with 2 young kids and if there was some kind of emergency we have no one is really stressful

More people are in your position then you actually think. Even those who seemingly have family/friends around. Try not to feel to bad about things you cannot control. 
So yes, finding a baby sitter or someone like that early so your child can get used to them is a great idea.

Is your child in daycare? Could you ask anyone from there or any work friends that would be willing?

I’m currently pregnant with my 2nd and my husband and I also don’t trust or have anyone we’d like to watch over my daughter for when I go into labor. We’ve decided that he’d be with my daughter when she’s not in school, and in the event that I push when he’s not there, I’m not worried at all, there’s tons of nurses and doctors around, and I know I’m strong enough to handle it. Just have to accept the cards that were dealt to us and realize things could have been much worst. Plus, we’ll be spending a lifetime together so him missing the birth isn’t a biggie to me.

My mother is flying in to stay with us for a few weeks as well as my mother and father in law will drive in the stay with us. I know it will be hectic but they know I’ll need some help .

I used care.com and found a great nanny! We only use her as a babysitter now due to both of our circumstances changing. She adores my kids. My oldest has special needs and uses a g-tube and she was very open and willing to learn how to feed my daughter. We happened to luck out as she was the first person we even interviewed! I have heard mixed reviews on quality of applicants, but I believe you will be able to find the right person even if it takes a little longer than you expect. Good luck on your search!

I used to be a care.com sitter! Just so you know there are good sitters out there :) interview really well! Make sure that you’re care provider is competent, is aligned with your discipline/parenting style, and truly cares about taking care of kids. Are kiddos not allowed in your hospital or is it preference that you want your kiddo out of the room? I only ask because we are having a home birth and have been slowly introducing the concept of birth to our 2.5 year old so she knows what to expect! Hope you find what you’re looking for!
