To those parents who have an animal loving kid

Just let them get a pet. I know it's a big decision but it's worth it and let me explain why.

I wouldn't be here today if it wasnt for my dog bella. She saved my life mentally. I decided to live for her. To get out of the house for her. To go on walks at the river for her. I wanted her happy even when I could barely hold myself together. Now I had great parents and a couple good friends. But bella was my other half. Something drastic happened to me when I was 17. No one saw it coming but it happened. I was raped by a family member. Most of my family never understood the story and disowned me. Friends started rumors about me. My mom talked about it to people who had no right knowing. I felt like I was alone in this whole situation. But I wasnt, I had bella. I lost more people then I could count and I started to feel useless and a burden to the world. All I did was cause pain and no one wanted me around. That's at least what I felt. But no matter what I wanted bella happy. She needed to get out of the house sometimes. So I'd spend the day with just her at the river. I didn't need my friends and family's approval. I was loved unconditionally by my dog. I went through a lot of waves and I still do a few years later. But one night I hit my lowest point. I could trust no one. Everyone looked at me with disgust. Without even knowing the whole story they treated me like absolute shit. I couldnt even stand looking at myself anymore. I was going to end everything. The pain was becoming to much. But as I was trying to build up the courage my dog stepped in and I'm not joking. She put her head in my lap as I was balling my eyes out harder then I ever thought I could. There was no way i could leave her. I needed her and she needed me.

I rescued Bella from a neglectful home a couple years before this incident and she claimed me out of everyone in my house. She needed me and I needed her.
