How long does your baby breastfeed?

Hi!! 
So I offer one breast for each feeding and my baby breastfeeds for 35-40 minutes every 2-3 hours during the day! She is 3 months old. Am I the only one? Lol according to glow the average feeding time is 17 minutes! So I was just curious!!!

Baby is using you as a pacifier. After like 10 or 15min, lift babies arm. If it's stiff and they pull away they are still eating, if babies arm is limp they are done eating and just soothing with the sucking. A lactation consultant who came to my house when I was having the same concern as you gave me this invaluable tip!!

5-10 minutes at a time and I think he’s currently in a growth spurt because he’s eating every 30-90 minutes day and night 😫

Maybe they aren’t getting what they need from that one breast. Have you tried offering both?

My son is going to be 5 weeks on Tuesday. Typically he would breastfeed for 15-20 mins, but for the last couple of days he’s only been doing 10 mins maximum! I only do one side as well, and I am thinking it may be because I’ve been overproducing so the milk is just coming out quicker. All that matters is baby seems satisfied and is producing enough wet diapers!

My baby is 3 months old. She misses from both breasts every feeding. She eats every 2.5 hours during the day and sleeps through the night. She usually nurses 30-40 minutes total per feeding, though sometimes first thing in the morning or just before bed she'll nurse 50 minutes or so total with both breasts. She will sometimes wake up around 5 to eat and then goes back to sleep until 830 when I wake her up to start the day. Her last scheduled feeding is at 730 and then I will sometimes nurse her to sleep at 8.
From my experience, what you describe is normal.
