Transitioning from breast to bottle
Hi everyone!
I have a 4 month old (soon to be 5 months) who absolutely refuses to take a bottle. We’ve tried comotomo, the dr browns line, advent, & tommee tipee to no avail. He’s super finicky and just knows when it isn’t my breast so he doesn’t even try to latch, just lets the bottle sit in his mouth and kind of just plays with it.
We’ve also changed nipples since the longer thinner ones make him gag. Even with the change of nipples though, he still will not take to it. He will often times make himself gag on purpose to get us to take the bottle away or just plain out hit it from him. Any advice on how to get him to at least try and latch on a bottle? Or new bottle/nipple recommendations? I don’t plan to stop giving him breast milk, I love the bonding time we have during breast feeding but it would be nice to be able to leave the house once in awhile and be able to have someone else feed him.
Thank you in advance!
