Over feeding 3 week old?

My 3 week old seems to have hit a growth spurt since he doesn’t want to be put down and constantly wants to nurse. I’m not sure if I’m over feeding him tho because he also seems quite gassy and uncomfortable when trying to pass gas or poop. Should I not nurse him as often? He’s literally been nursing every 30 minutes to and hour for the last day.

It’s called cluster feeding. It’s impossible to overfeed a breastfed baby

Cluster feeding! Totally normal. They go through spurts of this. Partially to build your supply and partially comfort. Nurse them as much as they want at this age!

My baby had pretty bad gas between 2-3 weeks old. Gripe water & gas drops were our last resort but it got to a point where we had to give it to him at least on 3 separate occasions. Luckily it has gotten better after that 3rd week. I feed & keep baby as upright as possible, burping is more effective now and i do it if we switch breasts during feedings, we do bicycle kicks which he likes but still winces at times if the gas is painful. 
My 4 week old baby still feeds pretty frequently throughout the day when he is awake. If hes sleeping he can go 2-3 hours without feeding.
