HSG X-ray and TTC

Hi ladies! So I wanted to share my experience with the HSG X-ray my OBGYN wanted me to get. Hoping this will give some hope and advice someone. Xo

Here’s a little background...

-been TTC for about a year now

-Extensive blood work done by endocrine, negative for PCOS.

-irregular cycles (ranging 33 days - 66 days) but my period is always textbook 5 days long.

-I do get positive OPKs but never know

When I’m ovulating due to the irregular cycles.

HSG X-ray was relatively painful, felt exactly like period cramps when they inflated the balloon catheter in my cervix. The primary reason to this test is to see if

There is any blockages in my Fallopian tubes and if my uterus is shaped normally.

Got the test results on the spot! No blockages and uterus is shaped normally.

Now on to hubby getting his semen analysis!
