Does sex regulate your period?

Since I've started my period 5years ago it has been extremely irregular. One time I even went 3months with out having one ( wasn't having sex so couldn't be pregnant ) But when I started having sex regularly it came like clockwork the 21st of each month until I stopped having sex again. Then it was back irregular. Is this normal???

It regulates it for me too. The other thing is working or living with another woman. Mine was regular when my sister was still in the house but went crazy when it was only my premenopausal mother and I.
My guess is pheromones.
