Will I be a bad mom?

So lately I’ve been very paranoid after I read about this four year old getting the flu in Iowa. She became very sick (almost died) and the flu left her blind. I will be giving birth soon, and I don’t want people touching my baby. I feel like I will be that mother ducking him like a football, screaming “DON’T TOUCH MY KID”. 
Do I have a right to be like this? Hubby feels the same way. We don’t want to be rude, but we don’t want people touching him. Any suggestions and comments would be VERY helpful. Thanks

Your child, your rules. Just remember that such cases are rare and avoiding sick people and having people wash their hands helps a lot.
And you can't shelter your baby form everything long term.

I ask everyone if they have been sick lately and make them wash their hands before touching him. That's with close family. Around other people, I wear him and it makes it easier to keep people away. Try to get close family members to get a flu shot if they will be around baby often. That's what my doc suggested.
