My boyfriend and I have been together almost 6 months... and in those six months we’ve had a lot of people bash him because of his job and just all the little things he does...

Anyways, he’s gone all the time because of work and next week is my baby shower/gender reveal(which he can’t be home for because of work)🥺 Which some people are making comments on,because he should be there,blah blah blah...like I get it he should be,but he’s working his job to support his kids. Others are making comments about “what do you except from the relationship if he’s a trucker and doesn’t always talk to you?” I grew up being the granddaughter to a truck driver so I wasn’t always aware how little my grandparents talked when my papaw was on the road,but when he would call it’d be hour or longer talks which is how my boyfriend and I are. My boyfriend lives out of state and has two kids that he has shared custody with, so when he’s home he gets them and completely ignores his phone...which some have said is a red flag like he’s got someone at home... and yeah for the longest time that weighed heavy on my mind...but here lately I’ve realized that everyone around me is just jealous because I finally found a good man who loves me for me and loves my children like his own.
