Follow up to my post about my sister naming her son Abel after we've named our son Cain

There were some questions on my last post and I thought I'd just make a follow up post answering them.

Obviously there's nothing I can do about her name choice, I know that, the post was more to make sure that I wasn't crazy for thinking it was weird and being kinda annoyed. My husband thinks its hilarious 🙄 and doesn't really care so I wanted to make sure it wasn't just me.

We named our son Cain after a close college friend of ours who passed away shortly before our son was born, so the religious origin has nothing to do with why we chose his name.

I'm not sure why my sister wants to go for Abel so bad. They aren't religious either. I'm pretty sure theres no other reason than them just liking it, which is completely fair. But my sister has never mentioned this name before, in fact for the first 3 months of her pregnancy they were set on a different name, so I was kinda shocked when they startd saying they were gonna name him Abel.

Obviously I love my sister, and brother in law and I'm gonna love my nephew. I'm not mad that she's going with this name, I just wish she wasn't.
