Is he losing interest?

I asked if he is and he said no, that he feels the same. 
But I’m still wondering...
When we first got together the texts were full, and he didn’t take hours to reply. 
Now.. the texts are shorter and he takes longer to reply. 
Is this normal after getting comfortable with someone?

How old are you and how long have you been together? Relationships always change slightly with time and that doesn’t mean they’re over. People also have their own lives and we shouldn’t expect them to answer texts right away every time.

Did you live together or in separate houses? My partner and I used to text often when we first met but as we spent more time together we didn't text as much, because we were excited to tell each other stuff that happened in person 😁 now we live together and we don't text often. I see him every night so I don't worry about if he doesn't message me. Plus he does message me if I am interstate 😊  doesn't always mean the person isn't interested.. Just means they aren't glued to their phone!
