My fiancé doesn’t like my cooking 😔🥺

My fiancé for over a year now, doesn’t seem to like my cooking and it’s really obvious now. We live together in our own place and have been since the summertime but, every night that I decide I want to surprise him with a nice home cooked meal he never eats it. Previously he has complained to me, that I never cook for him like a women should so I did everything He wanted time to do and decided to start cooking a few nights out of the week for dinner. He even lies and tells me that the food is good, but makes up a different excuse for not eating it.. like having a toothache or not being hungry anymore. I’ve Asked him why he complained about me cooking if he wasn’t going to eat it and I got the response “Just because your cooking for me doesn’t mean you can throw it in my face” like what? I don’t even understand. What should i do?
