I bought a ring without being engaged

So I went and bought myself a fake engagement ring. Idc that it’s fake and idc that my dude didn’t give it to me.. Im engaged to myself. I decided that I will not wait for him to propose to me but I proposed to myself. To love myself more and do more for myself. I promise to take better care of myself and do my hair more and makeup but not for anyone but for myself.

I know my boyfriend loves me.. we’ve been together for 3 years and we share our money so I know he hasn’t even made an effort to even save for one.. i on the other hand offered to save for it but was turned down because he’s the man and should be able to buy it himself.. but waiting for him I think I’ll never get it especially the one that I want.. my ring if it were real would cost about $1200.. I bought myself a $3 ring.. I love it.. I didn’t tell him I bought it.. I simply started wearing it all weekend.. he noticed it this morning and asked if I bought it. And I said yes I did why? He asked is that an engagement ring and I said maybe it is why? I know I’m not engaged to you so I went and bought myself a ring so I don’t have to wait for you.. we’ve been thru enough.. idc if he doesn’t even buy me a real ring.. just knowing he wants to commit his life to me and doesn’t see himself with anyone else.. he says these things but idk.. we argue like normal people but I’m not getting any younger and I already decided with him we won’t have kids so what else is there to wait on?? He has a new good paying job. He makes three times as much as I do.. but I’m not with him for his money.. I still pay half of everything because that’s how I want it. I’ve always been independent and now I made this decision without him.. he wasn’t mad.. he laughed and kinda made me feel stupid for buying it but I love it and I love myself.
