Would you let your teens be friends with me?
I'm 18 years old a senior in high school. I have good grades, my own car, and my own apartment. Here's where parents who think they're protecting their precious young adults by infantilizing them start to frown- I am a stripper and a camgirl. I've heard it all about me. My parents are failures, my parents didn't beat me as a kid, I don't love myself, I'm a lost little girl trying to grow up too fast.. But I am an ADULT who happily decided to join the ADULT industry. My best friend, who is 17, has strict parents. They found out about my career and now she is not allowed to hang out with me after school because they think I'll influence her. The funny thing is she's the one who suggested me strip because I had the body for it and there's less stigma on sex work now as it was before. I've always been a sexually liberated person. I like my body, I got it so I confidently flaunt it. I like my occupation because we're all like sisters. I actually am living my best life and everyone thinks strippers are depressed women with family issues but we really aren't. So far my best friend and one of our other friends who is also 17, is no longer allowed to hang out with me. I think it's ridiculous to be this controlling over your nearly adult kid but I think it's even more ridiculous that I'm so heavily judged.
