What size nipple do you use

So I recently changed her nipple to size 2, she’ll be 20 weeks tomorrow. would it be too much to change to size 6M and skip 3M ? I have a fast flow so I’m thinking she’d be able to handle but I’m scared. Thoughts ?

Personally I've never seen a reason to change. Breastfed babies don't have different nipple sizes as they age. My 6 month old is still on a 1 and I won't be changing, he'll still be on 1 when he weans.

Are you breastfeeding or strictly bottle feeding? I know for breastfed baby’s it’s recommended to always used the slowest flow because they have to work harder for it and therefore they don’t develop bottle preference. When I formula fed my first, I was basically told once it started taking him a really long time to eat a bottle and he was getting upset to go up a nipple size. But I always found he struggled with the faster for a week or so until he got use to it. So I personally wouldn’t skip sizes but you know your baby! You could try it if you want and see how baby does if you want to go that route.

I switched to a 2 at 3ish months. You’re probably fine! And will know if it’s too much if it keeps pouring out of the mouth!

We are still using a premie nipple. Anything faster flow and he gags and chokes

It doesn’t hurt to try. We recently changed my 20wk old to a size 2 and now the feedings go much faster and she doesn’t fall asleep with the bottle anymore.
