Family in law

I recently (literally about 2 minutes ago) commented on a post about if you been mum shamed an if so with what.

My baby boy is in bed, and my daughter and step children are with their other parents this weekend, and yes after cleaning and doing what needs to be done in the house I am on this app 🤣 (My way of having a break)

My partner asks "what are you ranting about" he can see me tapping on my screen to type,

So after I posted my comment unread it out to him and OMG as I was reading it out to him I must say my in laws are amazing!

They were so understanding about how I wanted me and my partner to be the only ones feeding our son because breast feeding didn't go to plan, they actually message me to tell me not to go over or they won't be coming over ours because they have a cold or some other sickness.

My mother in law cooks dinner on a Sunday and we go over and she has my son afyer she finishes her food and warms mine up so i can eat, and does not leave the room and always reassures me that my son can still see me, and the moment he is upset she says "Oh this is a job for mammy, not Nannie " And it's not because she can't handle a screaming baby, including my daughter (which she always counts as her grandchild) she has 6 grand children and is used to the screaming and crying, it's just that she knows I want to be the one to comfort my son! (She looks after my sister In laws 6 month old baby once a week for sister in law to do shopping, so defiantly not the fact that she can't comfort him, she is a brilliant nannie)

And I got to say I am so greatful for them being so understanding!

They all constantly wash their hands (even the ones who don't smoke) before holding the babies or doing something for the older children.

I don't get snide remarks how my son is "spoilt" because I tend to him as soon as he starts whimpering.

So I guess it's saying I appreciate them so much! I see so much on here about in laws being absolute nightmares but I have gotten so lucky with them! I am just so greatful for them!
