Induction from a closed cervix?

Question

Has anybody (at full term) been induced while not dilated at all? My cervix is thinned but not even a tiny bit dilated, and my doctor is mentioning a c-section (not what I want) and I am trying to take some time to weigh my options.

I was 41+4 with my first not dilated at all and induced, after pure hell for 37 hours it ended In C-section. I was induced because I was “over-due” no other reason. Biggest mistake of my life! I will never consent to an induction again with out true medical need. Some people just gestate longer, end of story!

I got induced at 41+3 w a totally closed cervix. No labor signs at all🙄little stinker (she’s still a punk 4 years later.) anyways 😂 they started me on cytotec, took the first dose at like 6:00 on a Friday night and started mild contractions on my own around 2AM Saturday AM. They decided to let me go and see if it would continue without the additional cytotec doses, and it did end up progressing after that. My babe was born finally on Sunday AM. Pushed for 2.5 hours. Little lady literally hooked her food in my ribs on the way out and a nurse had to push down so hard while I pushed to get her out!! Ugh!! Rant over 😂👍🏻

I was full term but induced due to my son not gaining weight. The meds kicked in after 6 hours and I had him 6 hours later. My cervix was high and hard. My next baby I had her naturally 6 days past due date after a sweep.

How many weeks? Why are they inducing?

I got induced without being dilated. I was having consistent contractions for 3 days though. I got induced around midnight without being dilated and woke up at 3-4 and she was coming out!

I got induced at 39+3 due to high blood pressure and I was not dialated at all. They started the induction at 9:45pm and baby was delivered at 1:41am.
