My first husband hit me once. I took him back and he hit me again and again and again. It ended in a psycho game where I had to hide from him and he locked me into bathroom and locked the front door, took my mobile phone and removed the land-line from the wall so nobody could help me. If my husband that I'm married to know just once beat me I'll run. Run and don't look back. That's the only thing you can do.

Somebody who once hit you already crossed the line, there is not much more to hold him no matter how much he loves you!

Let me say this, and I mean it. I mean this because I've done it and experienced it not with a man but a woman, because I'm gay ... And no we don't hit each other because we are lesbians ... Anyways.

When I say "If you ever hit me, you best hope you knock me out" I mean it. My ex girlfriend hit me, didn't knock me out, and when she woke back up with me standing over her I told her "I told you to make sure you knocked me out" and I left her that day.

Well okay my husband talks with his hands, so I've been accidentally smacked a couple times, but if he was angry and his INTENTION was to hit me, and then he did? Definitely not. Grew up in an abusive household. Wouldn't ever allow that to be part of my home when I could prevent it.

My current husband gave me a black eye in the beginning of our relationship. I scared him when I came up behind him while he was having a SEVERE anxiety/panic attack. He literally started crying and begged me to call the police. He went to jail, then he checked himself into a mental health facility. I knew he didnt mean it. It wasnt like we were fighting, I was checking on him cause I was worried. Sometimes it isnt what you think. I left my 1st husband and he abused me the whole damn time we were married. I fought back, but it made him way more mad. The asshole actually shoved me through a window once and pushed me out of a moving car. I left him because he was abusive, I stayed with my current hubby because he isnt. He has mental issues that he has alwaus actively sought treatment for. Now we are both stable, been together almost 8 years, and have 5 beautiful children together. I am glad I stayed, and would never choose otherwise.

Nope. One time is too many and is a serious red flag. At least physical distance for a duration until counseling is  sought. If kids were involved, I'd be out the door before he could blink.

My relationship now, my bf has hit me multiple times. Yes its bad, and i said I would never put up with it, but I have done alot of wrong too. Not giving it the okay because that's never the option.

All I can say now, is he doesn't hit me anymore. And I believe people can change and grow from their mistakes.
