What would you do?
UPDATE! I found out it was true. They were definitely trying to replace me and I’ve done nothing wrong. I haven’t been told I was doing bad, I’ve never been in trouble, heck I’ve not used any vacation time. I just quit.
I ironically got a “suggested job” email for the job I currently have. Like it was posted by the company I work for (super small business) advertising the position I’m currently in.
What would you do? Confront your boss and make things super awkward? Quit before they fire you?
I honestly have no idea why they would fire me because I haven’t been in trouble or anything since I started. I’ve worked there for a year, was promoted to my current position, and just got a 2nd raise last month for “working extra hard and doing very well”, so this is totally shocking and heartbreaking to me that this is even posted on there.
Also add: it’s a very small business and our office doesn’t have an extra office or desk for other employees to work. Someone would have to go for a new person to be hired. I’m also the only person in that specific position.
