16 month old doesnt know many words...should I be concerned?

He’s my first so I don’t really know what to expect. But ive noticed a lot of children his age say a lot of other words.

All he says is “dada”, “teeth” when he’s about to brush his teeth, “mmm” if he’s hungry, and that’s about it. Still no mama sadly 😢 if we say hi, bye, or goodnight, he will wave, but still won’t actually say the words.

Since he was 3 months old I read to him before bed and before every single nap. I try my hardest to do interactive, educational activities with him but lately I haven’t been as good as I used to as I’m SUPER EXHAUSTED from my IUD, literally have no energy. Now I’m worried it’s all my fault.

He knows how to stack up to 8 blocks, he knows the correct order of the stacker rings and cups (even just by looking at them sometimes), he can match colours as well. So I know he’s advanced I guess you could say in those areas. But for some reason he just doesn’t talk. I try my hardest to teach him words. He just doesn’t get it. He still doesn’t even know body parts. I do it a few times a day as well...

Any ideas? I feel horrible!!!
