Where do you have your car seat placed in your vehicle ?

Check your vehicle manual.  Middle is typically the safest but I didn’t have the full latch capabilities in my middle seat so he’s behind the passenger seat.  He’s in the middle in SO’s vehicle and it’s wearing on my back to reach across a seat to the middle seat to pop the infant seat out now that he’s so big 😬

Behind driver. Middle is best but difficult to get in and out so I was then told behind driver is next best because when turning left which is the most dangerous and accidental turns to make into oncoming traffic, if you were to be t-boned it would be on the right/passenger side (in Canada - ride side driving).

Husbands truck: 2.5 year old in middle and baby behind passenger. 
My suv: 2.5 year old behind driver and baby behind passenger. 
Toddler was behind driver and baby was in middle so I could easily hop in the back to tend to baby if needed. But 6ft 5in husband was going crazy from toddler kicking/pushing on the back of his seat so we shuffled them over one.

He used to be in the middle because that’s the safest but I got a new car seat that will grow with him till he doesn’t need one anymore and it’s bulky so when I sit in the back with the baby I didn’t have any room. Now he is behind the drivers seat because they say your more likely to protect your side of the car then the passengers side when driving

My van has bucket seats so there's no middle. The next place is behind passenger. Reason being, when the carseat is rear facing, it cannot touch the seat in front, there needs to be an inch or so of a gap. My husband is tall, so when we all go in the van, his chair needs to slide back and it touches the back of the carseat.
