Ovulation test and cervical mucus

OK ladies I need help. I've been testing the last couple days to go find out when i ovulate so my fiance and I can baby dance I got a pretty positive opk this morning but my cervical mucus is still creamy its thin like lotion can anyone tell me should I test the next couple days and see what happens or just give up this month. I have the clear blue digital opk that shows the smiley face when the test is positive. Thanks for any advice. We are currently TTC baby number one for us my fiance has one child and I have none due to previously having a couple miscarriages
