Do you put baby to bed at set time or wait for them to appear tired?

It used to be so easy to tell they he was tired but the older he gets the more I struggle with it! I don't want him to go to get super late but also don't want to fight him to sleep. Torn.

I do 2-3-4 system. First nap 2 hours after he woke up, second 3 hours after he woke up for first nap and bedtime 4 after he woke up from second nap. Usually is always around 19:00-19:30

Same bedtime (between 7-7:30) but only because I follow wake windows and cap naps so they don't go past 4 pm. So if he had a terrible nap day it could be earlier depending how tired he is.

I use wake times. 3.5 or 3.75 hours after her second nap is when she goes down. If also depends on the length of her naps during the day.

About 7:30 every night. Most nights he’s ready, he will play and then start whining, crawl to me and whine and I’ll pick him up and take him to bed lol

Lately my son has been on this great routine wakes up around 7:30/8 and then naps around 10:30/11 then up til next nap which is 2:30/3 then bed time is 8:30. We learned putting him to bed earlier just doesn’t work and I don’t wanna force it. 8:30 seems to be a good time for him bc he goes down with no fight. Some days are different depending on when he wakes from sleep or his nap. Some days he only has one nap But no matter what we still try to make bedtime 8:30. If he goes down early he sometimes wakes at 4:30/5 ready for the day. Lol and that just doesn’t work for us 😩 We try not to go later than 8:30 but sometimes it happens. Im just going with the flow and not forcing anything.

Both! Usually start bedtime around 6:15, sometimes she’s crabbier and sometimes looks more awake so might wait 10-15 minutes for sleepy cues.
