If I had an emergency c section with my first does that guarantee a c section for my second?

Hello ladies!
Recently found out we are expected baby #2! Our first just turned 3 and will be a few months shy of 4 when the new addition arrives.
I was induced 3 weeks early with my first due to preeclampsia and due to the cord being wrapped around her neck which caused her to go into distress, leading to an emergency c section right at 37 hours.
I’ve been seeing mixed posts, and I don’t have my first appointment for another month and a half and it’s starting to worry me.
If I had an emergency c section, does this mean I can not try for a VBAC?

Depends on the doctor, I just had my LO 7 weeks ago, emergency c section, & at my appt they told me that I could try for a VBAC w my next one, but I’d have to travel out of town to a different doctor, as they don’t do it there. They also prefer you to at least have waited 18 months before getting pregnant again to have a VBAC (which, obviously you surpassed!)

My OB had something she referenced that showed statistics of women who had a successfully VBAC in my same age group, ethnicity, height, weight, previous birth, etc.
Based on all that, I had a 30% chance success rate for a VBAC, so I chose to do a repeat c-section for this last baby. 
I would partner with your Dr and find out if they know what your chances for a successful VBAC are :)

I think it would depend on your previous situation and doctor. I had an emergency c-section with my first 2 yrs ago and pregnant with my second who is due in June and was offered to do a vbac but I opted for a repeat C-section.
