Birth story!!

I LOVED reading birth stories while I was pregnant and now I can share mine!!!

Lets start by saying I am SO GLAD to not be pregnant anymore.

We decided to have a baby shower when I was almost 38 weeks(first mistake) but the shower was AMAZING, and I had so much fun! We got a lot of stuff and I decided after the shower I would put everything away and organize it(second mistake) and I sent my boyfriend out with his friends for the night to have one last guys night before the baby got here (third mistake)

After the shower I got everything organized and put away and decided to have a bowl of cereal as a reward for a job well done, after I finished I put the bowl in the sink and went to sit on the couch and I then I felt wetness, at first I just thought I peed myself so I texted my boyfriend and we had a good laugh about how I peed on the couch, a few minutes later I felt a small rush of fluid and that’s when I knew it wasn’t me wetting myself, so I text my boyfriend that I think my water broke but get no reply, 20 minutes later, still no reply, so I start calling him over and over again. He didn’t answer any of the calls so I call his best friend and thankfully he answers so I tell him I think my water broke and that Jose needs to come home, I don’t think he’s ever gotten home so fast, we go to the hospital and have it confirmed that my water did in fact break(even though the gush on the elevator and on the triage floor already confirmed it for us) were admitted and labor gets underway! I got to 5cm and the nurse comes in saying it would be a good idea to get the epidural now since a couple more women came in, so I agree and get the epidural (it is NOT BAD at all and I’m scared of needles so if you’re scared to get it I promise you don’t need to be!) after that I was able to completely relax and be present. Fast forward 14 hours and I get to a 10! After an hour of pushing she made her entrance into the world!
