Terrified about my C-Section. Please help.

Due to the fact that my first born’s birth was super traumatic, my doctor has strongly advised a c-section for my current delivery plan.

It’s obviously much safer and more predictable than a vaginal birth (in my case) so I know it’s what needs to be done.

BUT I have never had surgery before. I am terrified. The thought of someone cutting me open and I’m awake and feeling the “movement” of it just scares me to death.

I’m honestly afraid I’m going to pass out during surgery because of the anxiety.

Please help me understand the process better, because I’m having a really hard time.
