Fertility with PCOS

My wife is afraid she won't be able to conceive with having been diagnosed with PCOS all of the nurses only have negative remarks about it towards her like "my daughter is 30 and still doesn't have kids because of her PCOS so I wouldn't count on it hunny" I have never been so mad in my life. There was no compassion or understanding behind her voice. We just want to hear about other people with a family of their own and their story with having PCOS and conceiving so we have a sense of hope or at least can know how to time it or what we may have to do to conceive. And please open honesty. I know everyone is different but if we can just get some positivity and a sense of hope I can help ease her mind.
