does anyone get tired of being told they’re “too young” & have “so much” to do before having kids?

i recently turned 21. my fiancé & i are moving in to a 2 bedroom apartment soon. we aren’t rich but we’re comfortable. i’ve stopped birth control & have been trying for a baby.

my manager found out & gave me a whole speech on how she thinks i’m so young, there’s so much i have to do, going on about how having a baby changes your life.

well i want to be a mom. i’ve wanted to be a mom since i was like 4 years old. when my cat had kittens i would dress the one up & push him around in a stroller. i’m naturally motherly.

i understand 21 seems young but i don’t party, i don’t go out often, i don’t buy myself stuff as often as i used to. i’m much more responsible now that we’re trying & im actually a lot happier than i was. i have a puppy that i’ve had for a year, he’s my fur baby. so i know i’m ready for my own human baby.

i’m so tired of everyone telling me i’m too young though 🙄
