What’s the normal age range for a child to walk?

My husbands cousins child barely started taking baby steps at 15 months! It gives me hope! My child doesn’t seem like he will be walking by that 1 year mark...and everyone from my family is reassuring me to “encourage him” and I am just like idk how to encourage him!

My first didn't until 14 months and my March baby still isn't. It's actually more typical for babies to walk around 12-16 months. But some kids don't until as late as 2 years and it's not necessarily a delay so I wouldn't stress it. Many of the kids in my first kids group didn't walk until after the first birthday.

Before 18m is typical. My first was walking at 14 months and my 2nd at 13 months. I anticipate March babe walking any day now (she’s taken a couple tentative steps) but with babies anything is possible. Legit would be surprised if she didn’t walk until after her birthday.

I wouldnt worry until like 18 months probably. my son started walking at 9 months but my niece and nephew started at about 13 months! they never crawled either but mine crawled at 5 months! all normal :)

Don't encourage too much, life is so much harder when they can walk!  Only slightly kidding.  My first walked at 15 mo and I'm in no rush for this one to walk, though she crawled 1.5 months earlier (9 vs 10.5), so I expect she'll walk earlier too.

Babies will walk when they're ready. My cousins baby started walking at 8 months, my friends baby who was born the same day as my March baby, just started walking last week, and my little one still won't 🤷‍♀️
