Childbirth pain?

Question

Okay first and foremost I am not currently pregnant and never had kids 
 me and my husband do plan to try when he gets back from deployment 
 But my question to everyone is how was your childbirth? 
Did you have a epidural? Was it still painful? Did you feel everything even with the epidural 
Or did you go natural and think it was easy?

I had 2 completely opposite experiences. 
1st child- induced. I will NEVER be induced again unless it will hurt my baby not to. The contractions came WAY too fast and STRONG. There was no build up of pain, I was just fine one minute then Bam. I was literally screaming in pod for HOURS. The nurse was rude and told me to stop screaming like that because I was scaring the lady in the next room over. They gave me an epidural and it didn’t work ! They had waited too long to put it in. My body started to push before i was dilated enough. I exhausted myself by letting my body push before it was time. I pushed her head out and it got stuck (she was stuck with her head out, no breathing) I was in and out from the exhaustion and stopped pushing so they cut me from vagina to anus with no numbing. My ex said the dr then stuck her arms in me up to her shoulders and pulled my baby out. They had called some kinda code and the pediatrician and tons of nurses had run in while her head was stuck. She was straight blue / purple. They had to revive her. I didn’t get to hold her or see her or hear her cry for what felt like forever. Worst experience EVER! 
So baby number 2. They tried to induce me and I refused. At 40 weeks 3 days I had my membranes swept. A little over 24 hours later I was laying in bed about to go to sleep and had LIGHT period cramping. No pain at all. I timed them and they were in a pattern. I tried to sleep but had to pee and when I did I was bleeding heavy red blood. Went in to the hospital still in no pain and they checked and said I was far enough dilated I could have my epidural. Got it like an hour later (the contractions never even got painful at all- not even uncomfortable) my epidural worked like a dream this time. I went to sleep and they woke me up at 8 am saying they checked me and it was baby time. Pushed 3 times and he was out. I felt NOTHING. No pressure , nothing it was amazing

I went natural and personally that it was very intense but with the right support it can be a bit easy, it’ll still be one of the hardest things for me personally to do but having a great support team made it easier. The pain of contractions is like no other and a very hard thing for me to describe but it’s almost like a tightening and stretching all at the same time but x100 pain level, pushing felt like such a relief like drinking water after being really really thirsty.

I’ve had 2 natural births. Hurts like hell in the moment but it is worth it to hold that baby for the first time. With my 2nd pregnancy I was kinda looking forward to labor because the rush after is so amazing. We’re done but I so wish I could give birth again.

I was induced both times (first-water broke, second-unstable lie), so I eventually got epidurals. I don’t like pitocin. If my children would COOPERATE, I would have been fine without anything. If I end up having a third, I’m not holding my breath any that I’ll get my dream labor in a tub. Seriously though, not all births are the same, and not everyone handles pain the same way. It’s good to know your personal preferences, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with changing your mind mid-labor depending on how you feel and what your medical team recommends.

I did it naturally at home, mostly by myself because no one believed me when I said he'd come quickly. Once I accept that I was going to deliver the baby by myself and listened to my body, it wasn't that bad. It hurt more not to push when my body was telling me to push. The ring of fire is real, but you have to push through it. I've heard some people describe it as excruciating pain but I wouldn't describe it that way. Definitely not the worst pain I've ever felt, but my hip started dislocating when I was 13, so I probably don't have a normal baseline for pain 🤷🏼‍♀️

Well I've had 4 babies if that tells you anything lol... and this last one I would have stayed home but my husband was not having it lol...

I was induced at 41+4, had an epidural that was honestly probably more painful than pushing. Pushed her out in 30 minutes, had a tear and hemorrhaging but all worth it 🙂
