Is this normal?

Question

I went for my 12 week appointment today. At 8 weeks I had my first prenatal appointment and it lasted about 2 hours. 
Today, I see a doctor that is not “my” doctor. He comes in, not so friendly and does the ultrasound, prints one picture and asks if I have any questions. I guess I was just in shock, and said “nope”. And he left. 
As I left, I felt so unimportant to this doctor. He didn’t tell us how big the baby is, what the heart rate is or anything. Is this normal? Should I have asked those questions if I wanted to know? If he had nothing to say, then I assume everything is normal and fine?
Side note: Baby was wiggling and there was a heart beat so I am a happy momma to be regardless.

That is odd. Mine Always asks me my questions concerns first. Then she will do the ultrasound and measure the baby and tell me where I’m at then find the heart beat and play it and tell me where that is at. I got to record the entire thing with my phone. Very personable. If you get a survey fill it out!

I went to the doctor well before getting pregnant for excruciating pelvic pain on the right side in my ovary area. They had me pee in a cup, no exam, nothing. When I went back to see the doctor or midwife she was like rude and uncaring and told me that I was ovulating and to have sex. Even though the pain was so bad I was crying myself to sleep. It was the worst experience I've had with a doctor. So when I got pregnant and they scheduled an appointment with her I asked him to change it and told them that I did not want to see her again.

Had my first appt at 9 weeks, my next will be just heartbeat outside tummy. This is 2nd baby, first came June 11th of this yr. Same dr. Just the routine she does in her office.

Is this normal?
