My husband and I are expecting our first this July and will be moving in with his parents. They have a brand new house and we will be staying in a room on the first floor with our own bathroom (sort of- guests will use it too but that doesn’t bother me at all) there’s really no other space except for the living room/kitchen which is outside of our room. The reason we are doing this is because our house will be torn down to rebuild, but we don’t want to stay there with a baby because it is SO TINY!!! Literally no room for even a bureau for her, and it’s really really old. This will also give us the chance to save more money.

I just wanted anyone’s feedback who has also stayed with their in-laws. How did it go? Was it as bad as it may seem? Let me know!

And we have a very good relationship. His mother is in her mid to late 60s and even tho she is old school with some of her views she still respects us and our choices on things. She has even told me that if I am ever upset with something she says/does to yell at her and tell her to snap out of it 😂 my FIL is suuuper chill and asleep most of the time I see him lol. But still, it’s the thought of needing our own space!
