Do you think Feminism has been misconstrued into men hatred?

So I read a post earlier of a girl saying that breast feeding little boys is wrong because they are naturally stronger then baby girls. They should only be given Formula and breast feeding should only be for baby girls. She even went so far as to say if she was ever "Unfortunate enough" to have a baby boy he would never suckle on her breasts and he'd be lucky to get a bottle. She went to on say that it's a mans world and that mothers need to empower their daughters more so then their sons so that they can take over.
Wth?! I'm all for Feminism when it's talking about equality, women feeling safe to be a woman and not fearing to show a little cleavage or hell even walk outside. But this, it's getting ridiculous!

Feminism does not equal misandry. All too often the media, trolls and the like portray misandry as feminism and it causes people to think that feminism is women over men. 
Feminism is equality for all genders, misandry is women over men. Please repeat until understood.

That post was fake. Feminism is the fight for equality. It has nothing to do with man hating. Posts like that are created with the explicit goal of causing dissension, and making feminists look bad.

Unfortunately some people don't understand that feminism isn't about hating men it's about being considered equal human beings. Which we are. We are women, not objects. A woman can be whatever she wants to be. Be it president or a house wife taking care of her kids full time.

I have read that and think it was probably not meant to be taken seriously. But even if it was, do you look at the Westboro Baptist Church and think that's what Christianity is? Not if you have even a shred of common sense.

Feminism is much the same. Extremists exist. But they don't change what feminism is or what it means. They don't change what the majority of us stand for.

Which isn't really what's feminism is about. It's about equality for all genders, and races.

We're all pink and gooey on the inside. We should be measured by the quality of our character and intellect. Not by our orientation, which gender we identify with, our genitalia, skin colour, religion or nationality!
