Is this true??

So long story short im going to be without health ins for about two months. Im currently 15 weeks pregnant. I was talking to my step sister and her mom about it. Her mom works as a NICU nurse in a hospital, and she told me that if i miss any of my prenatal appointments, when i have the baby the hospital can call social services for child neglect?!?! Is that true ?!!?? Now she has me horrified to miss any appointment (even though itd only be two appointments maximum). Im so worried, has anyone had this happen/ hear of that before? Btw i live in new jersey i dont know if it differs from state to state.
